NNO is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. Throughout the Rio Grande Valley, Border Patrol Stations were invited to partner with local law enforcement to engage the community and promote a strong rapport with the people agents are sworn to protect.

Agents attended the NNO celebrations held by the cities of Alton, McAllen, Harlingen, La Feria and Brownsville. The Border Patrol’s Horse Patrol Unit, Dirt Bike Unit, Bike Patrol Unit and Air and Marine Operations assets were in attendance to provide demonstrations and answer any questions from the public.

The Border Patrol’s Border Community Liaison (BCL) teams assisted local law enforcement in distributing school supplies and refreshments at each of the events.
